I absolutely adored the charming and romantic atmosphere of the hotel. The old castle, meticulously renovated, had such a beautiful and timeless appeal. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, allowing me to navigate the premises with ease. The general areas were well-maintained and spacious, offering a sense of grandeur and tranquility that made me feel truly pampered.
If I had to suggest one improvement for senior vacationers, I would've liked to see more assistance from the children working there. A little extra support or guidance tailored to the needs of older guests would have made the experience even more enjoyable.

During our Christmas stay, we were impressed with the beautiful and romantic atmosphere of this old castle. The room was spacious and stylishly furnished, combining modern elements with a tasteful touch. The large bathroom was a delightful mix of ancient and modern, with an amazing ceiling. We enjoyed a typical French breakfast in the room, overlooking the green property. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We were also intrigued by the ongoing renovation of the old chapel.
One drawback we noticed was the noise from the nearby highway in the morning, which could be a bit disruptive. However, the peaceful view, the sound of birds, and the delicious breakfast more than made up for it.

The room had a cozy and homely feel, with a comfortable sofa and a lovely view. I really appreciated the private bathroom with its free toiletries, perfect for a refreshing shower. The soundproofing was great, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay at Chateau De Maillat. The air conditioning was a welcome feature, keeping the room cool on hot days. The flat-screen TV and minibar added a touch of luxury to the overall experience.
Personally, I found the tile/marble floor in the double room a bit cold and could have preferred carpet.
